ABOUT KYLE'S PIANO LESSONS

Kyle's Piano Lessons are tailored to the needs of the individual. If the student is interested in jazz, the lessons will be focused around jazz and the necessary scales for improvisation. A classical approach will help refine the student's skills playing Mozart and Bach. Perhaps the student is interested in playing popular tunes. The student's desires will be the highest priority when learning from Kyle.

Typical Lesson
For Beginning Students
Beginning students will start out with Faber & Faber instructional books. Students are welcome to suggest pieces they would like to learn and they will be added to the coursework.
For Intermediate Students
Intermediate students may continue to work with Faber & Faber methods if they choose or work on pieces of their choosing. They will also learn music theory from Keith Snell books and work on developing skills through scales and other exercises.
Early Advanced Students
Advanced students will continue with scales and other technical exercises, but will have the greatest freedom to play music that they love. Finding the music that inspires them will be the primary goal.
